About Shazam Magic

Since the age of 5, Peter Wood has enjoyed performing magic shows for friends and family. After some coaxing from his mother, he began Shazam Magic as a professional magic enterprise in 1994.

Since Shazam's beginning, it has been Peter's personal goal to use original routines, as well as putting his own spin on classic ones, and blending it with family-friendly comedy, whether in the board room or the backyard.

In addition to magic shows, Shazam Magic offers corporate magic, strolling entertainment, and magic consulting for the theater. Peter's talents are in demand for everything from private birthday parties and public openings, to fairs and school events.

About

Magical Philosophy:

"Magic should be about entertainment first. And because it's a natural reaction to laugh when we see something amazing or incomprehensible, comedic situations are a good fit.

"The blending of elements is vital. Too much comedy, and I'm no longer a magician. Too much emphasis on fooling people, and they're no longer entertained. The key to my magic is in the blend.

"I continue to search for new and interesting magic, not only to keep it fresh for me, but to provide new magic for the annual clients I'm fortunate enough to entertain.

"Magic is art, entertainment, and mystery all in one ... and that's what makes it enjoyable for my audiences, and for me."
